Bali Pop 1600 Quilt

I actually made two of these quilts; one for a close friend and one to keep. It's the Bali Pop 1600 quilt, and so super easy. Each Bali Pop (jelly roll) comes with 40 strips of pre-cut fabric. You cut a few inches off the first strip, then sew the short ends together making one loooong strip, which you then fold in half, cut and sew together length-wise. Then each subsequent length is halved and sewn length-wise until you end up with a quilt-size rectangle.

I long-armed them at Quilt Your Own studio. If you're not familiar, a long-arm is just a much bigger sewing machine that your quilt is rolled onto and you quilt your topper, batting, and backing together. You can free-hand a meandering stitch pattern, or you can use a Pantograph (chart) to incorporate a repeating pattern that compliments the quilt's style.

There's a Jewel Pop pattern on the Hoffman fabric site I have in mind for my next project...

Use the handles to trace the Pantograph with the laser pointer.
