1860 Day Dress

I've been sitting on this 1860 Day Dress pattern for months, but finally came across the 'right' fabric - a floral batiste. I hate to admit it came from Wal-Mart, but sometimes I get really lucky there. I bought all 9-1/4 yards they had, since I didn't have the pattern on hand for reference. What do you know? It takes 9-1/4 yards. So it's all washed up, ironed (ugh!!) and cut out. The directions have the parts assembled individually, then it all comes together. So the skirt is made, hemmed, and then fitted into the waist of the bodice. I have a really nice blind-hemmer, but it leaves a very modern stitch inside so I decided to hem it by hand for a more authentic look. And in contrast of my own logic, there will probably be serged seams in the bodice.
