Desperately Seeking Susan jacket (material selections)

	Lapel Fabric This was the biggest compromise. I aimed for something with a comparable scale and a serviceable color palette. Though my fabric has a lighter background, it still works well against the jacket's fabric. Key search terms: black, gold, cream, jacquard, brocade
	Main Fabric Even though I had to compromise on the detailed mosaic pattern, it doesn't even read in the film. I chose a dark gold metallic fabric.  It was a stretchy-knit so I backed it with black twill.
	Pyramid Fabric You can still find eyelash lamé (try eBay or Etsy). I used my husband's clippers to trim the shag a little shorter. I backed it with stabilizer to machine-embroider the pyramid, and then mounted it onto a piece of red felt.
