6.5.08

I figured out the shoulder issue - partly my fault, partly a weird marking on the pattern. In any event, the bodice is coming together now (the orange threads are just for gathering). The fabric is draping really nicely - which is a good thing because I just bought more of it (in another print) yesterday. I couldn't help myself.

The finished dress will be about a size 8 - my goal for this year. I'd like to put trim around the neck, but everything seems so "busy" next to that print. Since I'm in no hurry, and working so slowly/sporadically on this dress, I may just set it aside until something comes along.

Speaking of slow-moving projects, I think I have a solution for the space wings which involves recutting them a little differently, but I'm anxious to test the theory rumbling in my head with the new (much lighter) fabric I got for it. Will see.
