I wanted to make a scrappy Pineapple quilt with the pre-printed paper pieces. I couldn't decide if I wanted to start with my brights or my neutrals in the center - so I made blocks of both. I thought, what would be more scrappy than alternating them? However, alternating the blocks made the "pineapple" feature completely disappear. So I took that experiment apart and now I have the beginnings of two separate quilts. This is how the neutral centers looks so far - I still think the "pineapple" is a bit understated, but I think that's partially a limitation of the 6" block size.
