Dress Forms Go Vroooom!

dress forms by seweccentric
I have two collapsible dress forms (industry standard) and two foam dress forms. The foam dress forms are nice for period costuming because you can squish them in a corset to better emulate the proper shape under a period gown. Unfortunately, they come on really crappy stands. So I found a rolly stand on eBay for $40 and now I'm quite happy!
On a separate note, I abhor the adjustable dress forms because (1) they're not sturdy, and (2) increasing a measurement, say the bust, will increase other things such as the underbust measurement and shoulder depth. Far better off getting a stable shape and building up the measurements in layers with batting and felt.
