I'm planning to take some Pattern Drafting classes in the spring at Houston Community College and will likely just aim for the Pattern-Making Certificate. My sewing skills are strong, but my pattern skills are pretty rough around the edges. I can make patterns, but I'm not terribly efficient or confident at it. Meanwhile I've been keeping busy with my Rocky costume business and knitting, and looking into a shoe-making course and teaching myself bobbin lace making. Currently on my needles are some Renaissance-inspired socks based on the stockings found in the tomb of Eleanora di Toledo (1522 - 1562). There have been several pattern versions published, though I'm not terribly concerned about authenticity. I simplified the cuff because my thread is so dark the details just got muddled.
