1861 Day Dress (Sleevies)

These are the false sleeves that were worn with this dress - you would see the white poking out at the wrists, but a full blouse wasn't necessary because you'd already be wearing a chemise and corset. Like the collar, they could be cleaned separately (and more often) than the rest of the dress). On a dress with bigger sleeve openings, these may be more elaborate and embellished.
